Looks Can Be Deceiving
This was outside a craft store near my home. The ironic thing was that the store owner was not very welcoming at all. She glared at us the entire time we were in there, demanded we put our cameras away, and never smiled.
But her welcome mat was pretty. :)

Chasing the Dream
I think most photographers have something they spend years trying to capture that seems to elude them. There's been lots of those for me: bees, butterflies, hummingbirds in flight, and fireworks. I've read articles, taken thousands of pictures, and still not been able to capture the color and crispness of fireworks without also overexposing the smoke that inevitably overpowers them.
At Disney World last week I was able to finally figure it out. I don't know if it was chance, or I actually figured it out. But I'm thrilled for once I got the shot.

Gilded
It's that time of year when beautiful things packed away get pulled out and adored again. Looking forward to using my macro a bit over the next weeks!

Have a Seat
A picnic table at a local pumpkin patch farm. I loved the way the electric blue made the diagonal lines stand out even more. I could have done better with the angles, but I like the idea of it.

Keeping Things Bottled Up
These bottle were lined up on the windowsill of a store. I am definitely drawn as a photographer to patters and repetition. And the color is gorgeous too!

Blocks
I love finding patterns. The fun part of these windows is the way the frames don't make the traditional squares, and the opague quality of the glass.

Celebration Week: A Little Bubbly
My first book signing at Barnes and Noble Bookstore this weekend. This week's photos are a tribute to that celebration.
