I took this in the butterfly room in the Natural History Museum. The museum is free but the butterfly room usually costs to get in, which I think is a rip off. BUT on Tuesday's it's free!! Maybe we make this one of our photo outings? :)
Lynn - This was actually taken with an 28-80mm lens, on 80mm. I have trouble using a macro lens with bugs because they move so fast and it's hard to get that close - especially to butterflies.
I know what you mean, though! I really wanted one of those $700 macro lenses, but I ended up settling for a $50 macro converter lens by Raynox and I love it!!
I love this picture. I must have it.

ReplyDeleteI love your macro shots. Inspiring! I'm torn--macro or telephoto lens to purchase next? Wish I could get both!
